ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Don Bosco College, Itanagar (Jollang) is a leading institution of higher education in Arunachal Pradesh, established on 16 August 2002. It is a Catholic institution owned and managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco Educational Society, a body registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1890 (No. 50 SR/ITA/4034). Guided by the educational vision of St. John Bosco (1815-1888), a priest, visionary, a friend of youth and a champion of education, the college continues his legacy of holistic and value-based education for young people.
Recognised by the University Grant Commission under UGC 2(f) & 12(B), and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, the college seeks to empower students through academic excellence, personal formation, and deep moral integrity. Inspired by his Preventive System based on reason, religion, and loving kindness, the college aims to educate the whole person, mind, heart, and spirit. In recognition of its unwavering commitment to quality education, values-based formation, and institutional excellence, the College has been awarded NAAC Accreditation with Grade ‘A’ and a CGPA of 3.13, one of the highest in the region.
