Author Guidelines

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We welcome original contributions from researchers, academicians, professionals, and scholars across disciplines. Submissions to Lumina: An International Multidisciplinary Journal should adhere to the following guidelines:

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Manuscripts must be submitted via email to:
submit@luminajournal.org

All submissions must be in English, typed in MS Word format. (Submit also a PDF file of the same)
Use Times New Roman, font size 12, double-spaced, with 1^” margins on all sides.

MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

1. Title

The title should be informative, concise, and in bold uppercase, font size 14, and centre aligned.

2. Author(s) Information

The name(s) of the author(s) should be in bold uppercase, font size 10.
Provide full institutional affiliation(s) and address(es).
The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*) and include a valid email ID (preferably an institutional email ID).

3. Abstract

Include an abstract not exceeding 250 words, summarising the objective, methodology, results, and conclusion.

4. Keywords

Provide five keywords immediately after the abstract, in italics, separated by commas.

TEXT FORMATTING AND HEADINGS

For Scientific Articles, structure your manuscript under the following major headings:

INTRODUCTION
METHODOLOGY
RESULTS & DISCUSSION
CONCLUSION

HEADING STYLE GUIDE:

Main Headings: BOLD UPPERCASE
Subheadings: Bold Lowercase
Third-level headings: Bold Lowercase Italics
Fourth-level headings: Lowercase Italics

REFERENCES

Use the author-date citation style (e.g., Hebbar et al., 2006; Rao, 2001).
Provide a full reference list at the end, arranged alphabetically by the surname of the first author.
Follow the APA 7th edition referencing format. Include:
- Author(s), year
- Title of the article/book
- Journal name (in full), volume, issue, page numbers
- Publisher information (for books), and DOI/URL (if available)
Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.

TABLES AND FIGURES

Tables must be typed on separate sheets with appropriate titles.
Use clear, concise column headings with units in parentheses.
Avoid vertical lines; keep tables compact and suitable for standard page width.
Number tables consecutively using Arabic numerals (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, etc.).

ILLUSTRATIONS AND IMAGES

Submit images on separate pages in the manuscript file.
Avoid using solid black fills.
High-resolution images should be sent in PNG, JPEG, GIF, or TIFF format (minimum 300 dpi).
Number all figures (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2) and provide legends typed on the same page.

PLAGIARISM POLICY

All submissions must be original and free from plagiarism. Authors bear full responsibility for ensuring the authenticity of their content. Plagiarised work will be rejected outright.

REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review. Articles will be published only upon the recommendation of expert reviewers. The editorial board retains the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.
